The Canadian Chopin Society Scholarship Program

The Canadian Chopin Society Scholarship Program provides support and encouragement for young pianists to expand their repertoire and deepen their understanding of the music of Chopin.

Scholarships of $1000 will be awarded each year on a competitive basis to outstanding Canadian pianists who demonstrate a special affinity for the music of Chopin, and the potential to participate in both the Senior Division of the Canadian Chopin Piano Competition and the International F. Chopin Competition.

The Scholarship Program is open to qualified Canadian pianists (Canadian citizens or permanent residents) born between 1995 and 2004.

Pianists wishing to apply for the scholarship are invited to submit an application and video, along with a brief personal statement outlining the significance of the music of Chopin in their musical development, and a letter of recommendation from their current teacher.
